Audi Adds NACS DC Charging Adapter and Expands Charging Network

Beginning September 9, 2025, Audi is making it easier than ever for electric vehicle drivers to stay charged on the go. Select Audi e-tron owners will gain access to more than 23,500 Tesla NACS Partner Supercharger stations across North America, thanks to a new manufacturer-approved NACS to CCS DC fast charging adapter.

This update marks a major step forward for Audi’s electrified lineup. Until now, Audi drivers relied primarily on the 5,000 Electrify America DC fast chargers already integrated into the Audi ecosystem. With the addition of the Tesla NACS Partner Supercharger network, e-tron drivers now have access to more than 28,000 Level 3 DC fast charging locations—a significant expansion in convenience, flexibility, and peace of mind.

What Makes the NACS DC Charging Adapter Special?

The new Audi NACS DC Charging Adapter is UL2252 certified and designed exclusively for use with compatible DC fast chargers. Available beginning in September 2025 as a port-installed accessory on most new 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron, A6 Sportback e-tron, and e-tron GT models, this adapter gives Audi owners the freedom to charge at Tesla NACS Partner Supercharger sites while maintaining manufacturer quality and safety standards.

Existing e-tron customers will see details about adapter availability in a future announcement, while the Audi Q4 e-tron is not currently compatible. To use the network, Audi drivers will simply download the Tesla app, initiate a session, and manage payment directly in the app.

Expanding fast charging access reflects Audi’s commitment to providing a seamless premium EV ownership experience. By integrating Tesla Superchargers into the myAudi app and Audi MMI navigation, drivers will easily locate compatible charging points when planning trips. More options mean less range anxiety and more freedom to enjoy the performance and luxury that Audi e-tron models deliver.
